South Pole

Geographically Antartica is part of all 24 Zones
radiating out from the South Pole.
The zones are assigned by which country is nearest to each particular segment
and the zone of the parent country of the of the various research stations.
Resulting in 11 zones; GMT, UTC-3, UTC-4, UTC-6, UTC+3,
UTC+6, UTC+7, UTC+8, UTC+10 UTC+12 & UTC+13


The Polar North Zones are partially shared with Europe & partially unique zones
in the Atlantic. They geographically span from UTC-5 to UTC+2
Greenland, the largest country in the North, covers the area of 5 zones, but
it follows 1 main zone, West Greenland Time, UTC-2, plus a 3 small zones on the coast.
Iceland (despite being West of UTC-0) & the Faeroe Islands both follow the GMT
& Svalbard follows UTC=1​
