Oceana and the South Pacific are a world onto themselves in terms of geography, but they still have ties to and remain close in culture to the Western countries that colonized them. So they combine exotic wild life & environments with cultures that feel a lot like home to many visitors; making them perfect destinations for less seasoned travelers who still want something out of the ordinary.
Other than some rather dangerous species lurking about, the area is stable, safe & not too expensive.
